Built from official sources
Public content and workflow rules are grounded in state statutes, court forms, agency instructions, and federal FCRA sources. Content pages show source links and last-reviewed dates.
User-controlled filing
Customers remain the self-represented filer. Clean My Past does not file court documents, mail certified mail, submit CRA disputes, or contact agencies on the customer's behalf.
Privacy-sensitive by design
The product separates public marketing pages from private app routes, masks sensitive data in admin views by default, and logs compliance-sensitive events for auditability.

What the product does and does not do
- Arizona Legal Document Preparer, Nevada Document Preparation Service, and Utah sandbox statuses are disclosed as pending until granted.
- Complex cases, disputed facts, immigration questions, open warrants, and unusual criminal history should be reviewed by a licensed attorney or legal-aid provider.
- Private background-check cleanup is user-driven: the software helps generate materials and track deadlines, while the customer submits disputes through each CRA or broker process.
